Nate Robinson Wins Dunk Contest, Credits God

The NBA Slam Dunk Contest was putting courtside greats and the TV audience to sleep for much of the once-interesting NBA All-Star Weekend. When the event finally got down to the finals, it was fun to watch "Superman" Dwight Howard (6'11) going against the puny Nate Robinson at just about Howard's waist.
After the Orlando Magic star dunked on an 11' foot rim with ease in the semi-finals with his Superman cape on, Nate Robinson bested him in his kryptonite green outfit from head to toe.
Howard was a big enough man to be used as a prop for Robinson as the little New York Knick "flew" over the back of the giant and slammed his way to another slam dunk title.
In the post-event interview, Robinson was asked about LeBron James wanting to get in next year and he was very humble and just gave thanks to God. Great job little man.

Bush Hands Reins of U.S. to Obama

The never-ending presidential campaign to follow George W. Bush has finally come to an end, with the official turnover of the Presidency of the Unites States of America to Barack Obama on January 20th.
By all accounts, the Bush Administration was gracious and helpful in the transition since Obama's historic win in November that made him the first African-American President, even with all of the awful caricatures and attacks that Obama made through the long, tough campaign. It was sad to hear the crowd's response to President Bush's name being announced at the inauguration, but President Bush took it like he has so much bashing for years now, with grace.
I did not support now President Obama in the election over many issues of political policy and personal policy, as was evidenced in his appearance with Rick Warren back at the Saddleback event with John McCain.
I hope his presidency will bring an end to many of the issues of race that have divided many for so long and take the country to higher standards, but do not believe it can be done by increasing government control over too many issues.

Warner Gets to Super Bowl Again

Kurt Warner told Terry Bradshaw that he knew when he got on the podium that he would have to thank his Lord, Jesus and said he had to.
That is the conviction that we all need, even though some people will roll their eyes and say, sure he thanks God when they win, but what about when they lose? Christians thank God in all things, it's just a little more noticeable when you are on the winner's platform!

Kurt Warner Carries Cardinals to NFC Championship

Kurt Warner has hoisted the Lombardi Trophy after winning the Super Bowl and he has been the MVP of the entire NFL and now at 37 he has his Arizona Cardinals in a position that they have never been before. The Cardinals have never played in a conference championship, but the outspoken Christian QB has led them to unprecedented heights and he always gives credit to his Lord and Savior.
Warner is one that seems to be what he claims to be and that is a disciple of Jesus! He has taken blows on the field and off for his faith, but congratulations to a guy that through good times and bad, knows where his treasures lay.

Tim Tebow Gives Credit to His Lord and Savior

After winning college football's National Championship Tim Tebow gave credit to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Tebow may be the most blessed man in the world. It seems everything has gone his way so far, but it seems as if he has handled it with incredible humility as well! We wish him the best of luck whether he stays with the Gator Nation or moves to the NFL.
